Unlike his Gen X competitors who rose to power and belatedly discovered Harrisburg urban black people, young Tom Brier is bringing his new congressional campaign to the historic Camp Curtin YMCAthe heart of inner city Harrisburgthis Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm.

Brier has assembled a racially and gender diverse coalition that reflects his view on social progress.

“Tom has the intellect of Bill Gates, and the compassion of a young Bobby Kennedy. He would have marched with Dr. King,” said MLK Institute Co-Founder Reginald A. Guy, Jr.

“My community looks forward to hearing his urban agenda,” Guy added.

The Voice 104’s Ron Chapel will moderate the town hall. Chapel has his finger on the pulse of inner city Harrisburg and his streamed cable show is a community favorite.

The sound system will be provided by DJ Godfather Inc. Like an Obama Rally set to Stevie Wonder’s Signed Sealed and Delivered, expect to come in to Marvin Gaye’s Inner City Blues and leave on PE’s Fight the Power. What a shift from Happy Days are Here Again.

The doors open at 5:30pm.
