Camp Hill, PA: Sean Quinlan, candidate for Cumberland County District Attorney, has endorsed fellow Democrat and attorney, Tom Brier, in his race to unseat Scott Perry in Pennsylvania’s Tenth Congressional District.
Quinlan’s decision, he said, is based not only on Brier’s commitment to stemming the tide of the opioid crisis, but also because of Brier’s outspoken advocacy on the need for common-sense gun laws like universal background checks, extreme risk protection orders, and child access prevention laws. Both Brier and Quinlan agree that implementing such measures will help prevent the wrong person from obtaining access to a weapon, thus protecting our children at school and our neighbors in public places.
Like Quinlan, Brier’s roots trace back to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where their families have been friends for decades. “Given Tom’s family, intellect, personality and character,” Quinlan said, “I can’t help but rave about what a credit he would be to the U.S. Congress. I respect him as an individual, support him as a friend, and proudly endorse him for the 10th Congressional District.”

Sean Quinlan wants to be a leader that takes responsibility for the communities and people he represents. For the past 20 years, he has listened to his clients and fought for them in his law practice. He wants to do the same as Cumberland County’s top prosecutor, by listening to them and fighting for them when necessary in the District Attorney’s Office.
Quinlan believes it is time for the American people to address gun violence, skyrocketing prison and probation costs, the opioid epidemic, and overcrowded prisons. Those are the top reasons why he’s endorsing Tom Brier, as both of them have a shared interest in making their communities safer.
Tom Brier is an attorney, author, and educator who was born and raised in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he lives today. He is running for Congress because he believes that the next generation is best positioned to restore hope to our communities and create the kind of future that Pennsylvanians want and deserve. Brier’s campaign priorities include campaign finance reform—he has taken the corporate PAC pledge—as well as climate change, the economy, education, gun violence, health care, national defense, the opioid epidemic, technology, unions, and veterans & military families.
