Why is this election important?

Our District was President Trump’s last stop before the 2016 election. At that time, it was a +21 Republican District — the direct result of partisan gerrymandering that our primary opponent, Eugene DePasquale, voted for in this bill.

In 2018, the Pennsylvania Supreme court ruled the gerrymandering to be unconstitutional. Pennsylvania’s Congressional Districts were redrawn to be a more fair and accurate representation of the State.

As a result of the redistricting, Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District (PA-10) was one of the closest races in the State in 2018.

In 2020, it will be even closer. The Cook Political report labelled PA-10 as a toss-up and it will be a nationally watched race.
